Google+ already has over 5 million users

Doing a simple search for “a” in the Google+ directory returns about 5,310,000 results (with profiles). Is this the most accurate source to know how many total users are on Google+ already, probably not. But this should give a better idea of just how many people have already starting using the social network since it launched a couple of weeks ago.
